About this editorial team

Marie Lefèvre-Dubois has worked the Belgian gambling beat since 2019 and puts every operator to the test with bonus terms as a constant point of attention. Lives and works in Liège.

The site runs on affiliate income; what we write is independent of that fee. Even with a well-paying partner the verdict holds.

How we test. we register like any other player, start with a deposit of our own money, start a withdrawal and keep an eye on the clock. We hold the name against both of the regulator's lists and read the bonus terms line by line. What we did not establish ourselves is not mentioned.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

The rules on player protection here run more tightly than the Netherlands or France and it is built that way on purpose. The standard limit runs to €200 per week per site. Downwards it goes without an intermediate step, adjusting upwards follows a check and a term.

The EPIS system is the regulator's central exclusion list: the exclusion applies instantly across the whole licensed landscape. The request goes through the regulator itself. The bar has stood at 21 since 1 September 2024, lottery aside; the National Lottery is the exception at 18. The check is automatic.
